The Basics
What is DramaMoly?
DramaMoly is a free online streaming guide and entertainment platform. We curate and organize a large library of Asian dramas, movies, and TV shows — including content from Korea, China, Thailand, Japan, and other countries — and present it through an embedded video interface so fans can discover and watch content in one place. We are not a broadcaster or streaming service; we are a curation and aggregation platform built for drama and film enthusiasts around the world.
Who built DramaMoly?
DramaMoly was built and is operated by an independent team of drama fans and developers who wanted to solve a problem they personally experienced: the frustration of navigating dozens of different, often unreliable sites to find and watch Asian content. The platform grew from a personal project into a community resource serving users globally. We are independently operated with no corporate parent, investor, or affiliation with any studio or broadcaster.
Is DramaMoly free to use?
Yes, completely. Browsing our entire catalog, reading episode guides, and watching embedded content is free. There is no subscription, no premium tier, no pay-per-view, and no hidden fee of any kind. The platform is funded by advertising, which keeps it free for everyone.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can browse the full catalog, access every episode guide, and watch any embedded content without registering or creating an account. We do not require personal information to access any part of the platform.
What devices can I use DramaMoly on?
Any device with a modern web browser. The platform is fully responsive and works on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. Mobile users receive a fully optimized experience — not a degraded version of the desktop site.
Content
What kind of content does DramaMoly have?
Our library includes:
- Korean Dramas (K-Dramas) — romance, thriller, historical sageuk, supernatural fantasy, crime, action, comedy, family drama, coming-of-age, and more;
- Chinese Dramas (C-Dramas) — wuxia, xianxia (immortal fantasy), palace intrigue, modern romance, youth drama, crime thriller, and historical epic;
- Thai Dramas and Series — romance, boys’ love (BL), action, mystery, horror, and period drama;
- Japanese Dramas (J-Dramas) — manga and anime adaptations, workplace drama, romance, psychological thriller, sci-fi, and slice-of-life;
- Asian Movies — Korean cinema, Hong Kong films, Chinese productions, Thai films, Japanese movies, and international selections across all genres;
- TV Shows — international series beyond Asia that we curate for our audience;
- Upcoming Releases — confirmed dramas, movies, and shows with air dates and preview information.
How often is content updated?
We update the catalog on an ongoing basis. New episodes are added as they air, typically within 24–48 hours of official release. New series, movies, and upcoming titles are added continuously as our editorial team processes them. We aim for the library to be current — not a static archive that was last updated months ago.
Do you have both subbed and dubbed versions?
Where available, yes. We note subbed and dubbed availability in episode guides when that information is confirmed. Availability depends on what third-party hosting platforms have published; we cannot guarantee subbed or dubbed versions for every title, but we indicate clearly what is available.
Why is the video player for a specific episode not working?
Video players on DramaMoly are embedded from third-party hosting services. Occasionally those hosts remove content, change embed codes, or experience technical issues. When this happens, the player on our site stops working even though the rest of our page is fine. If you find a broken player, please report it to support@dramamoly.com with the show name and episode number — we check and update broken players regularly, and reports help us prioritize the most-watched content.
Can I request shows or movies to be added?
Absolutely. Content requests are one of the main ways we decide what to add next. Send your request to support@dramamoly.com with the show name, country, and any other details that help us identify it. We review all requests and add titles based on community interest and content availability.
Does DramaMoly cover completed series only, or ongoing ones too?
Both. Our catalog includes completed series (all episodes available), currently airing series (updated as episodes release), and upcoming series (announced but not yet airing). Each title is clearly labeled with its current status so you know exactly what to expect before you start.
Technical Questions
Do you host the video files?
No. All videos on DramaMoly are hosted by third-party platforms. When you press play, your browser connects directly to those platforms’ servers to stream the video — DramaMoly is not in that data path. We provide the interface, episode organization, and embedded players; the video itself lives elsewhere.
Why does DramaMoly load fast even though it has a lot of content?
Because we do not host video ourselves. Our pages load quickly because they contain metadata, images, and embedded player links — not multi-gigabyte video files. The streaming load is distributed across the third-party hosts we embed from, not concentrated on our own servers.
Is DramaMoly available in my country?
Our website is accessible globally. However, some embedded video content may be geographically restricted by the third-party platforms that host it — if a specific video is unavailable in your region, that restriction comes from the hosting platform, not from DramaMoly.
Legal and Copyright
Who owns the videos on DramaMoly?
All video content is owned by its respective copyright holders — the production companies, broadcasters, and distributors who created or licensed it. DramaMoly does not own, produce, or claim rights to any video content on the platform.
I am a rights holder and I believe my content is being shown without permission. What do I do?
Please contact us immediately at support@dramamoly.com with details of the content in question and your rights claim. We take intellectual property concerns seriously, investigate all reports promptly, and remove embed links to infringing content in accordance with applicable copyright law. Please note: because we embed rather than host video, removing content from DramaMoly removes the embed link from our pages — the underlying video file is on a third-party host, and you may need to contact that platform separately to have the file removed entirely.
Are you affiliated with any streaming services, broadcasters, or studios?
No. DramaMoly is entirely independent. We have no affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, or financial relationship with any broadcaster, production company, streaming service, or talent agency. No entity pays us to feature specific content, and our catalog reflects our own editorial judgment and community demand.
How does DramaMoly make money if it is free?
The platform is supported by advertising revenue from third-party ad networks. Ads are displayed on the site, and that revenue covers our operational costs. We do not sell user data to advertisers and we do not have paid placement arrangements for content in our catalog.
